GoZap Refund Policy

Effective Date: 01.10.2026
Company: Gozap Technologies LLC
Service: GoZap power bank rental service

This Refund Policy explains when GoZap may issue refunds, how refund requests are reviewed, and what information users should provide when reporting billing or rental issues.

By using GoZap, starting a rental, or making a payment, you agree to this Refund Policy, the GoZap Terms of Service, Rental & Deposit Policy, Privacy Policy, and all payment terms shown to you before starting a rental.

1. General Refund Policy

GoZap reviews refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

Refunds are not automatic and are not guaranteed. Whether a refund is issued depends on the rental record, payment record, station logs, return confirmation, user account history, and the facts of the specific issue.

GoZap may approve, deny, or partially approve a refund request at its discretion, consistent with GoZap’s policies and applicable law.

2. Refundable Deposit

GoZap charges a $5 refundable deposit before or at the time your rental starts.

After you return the power bank to a GoZap station and the return is successfully confirmed by the system, GoZap will issue a refund of the $5 deposit to your original payment method, unless the deposit is applied to unpaid rental fees, taxes, loss, damage, non-return charges, fraud prevention, misuse, or other amounts owed under GoZap’s policies.

The $5 deposit is an actual charge and refund. It is not only a temporary authorization hold.

Depending on your bank, card issuer, and payment processor, it may take additional time for the refunded deposit to appear on your account.

3. When Refunds May Be Considered

GoZap may consider a refund if:

  • the station charged you but did not release a power bank;
  • the station failed to properly process your return;
  • the app or station showed a technical error that affected your rental;
  • you were charged incorrectly;
  • your rental remained active due to a confirmed system issue;
  • GoZap determines that a billing adjustment is appropriate.

You must contact GoZap Support as soon as possible after noticing the issue.

4. When Refunds May Not Be Available

Refunds may not be available if:

  • you used the power bank and the rental was properly recorded;
  • you returned the power bank late;
  • you did not return the power bank to a GoZap station;
  • you left the power bank with venue staff or outside a station;
  • you lost the power bank;
  • the power bank was damaged while in your possession;
  • the non-return period expired;
  • the $30 non-return purchase charge was properly applied;
  • you violated GoZap’s Terms, Rental & Deposit Policy, or Safety Instructions;
  • there is suspected fraud, abuse, misuse, or repeated false claims.

5. Station Did Not Release a Power Bank

If the station did not release a power bank after payment confirmation, contact GoZap Support immediately.

Do not force the station open or attempt to remove a power bank manually.

Please provide:

  • your account phone number or email;
  • rental ID, if available;
  • station location;
  • date and time of the issue;
  • payment confirmation or screenshot;
  • photo or video of the station, if available.

If GoZap confirms that you were charged but did not receive a power bank, GoZap may refund the affected charge.

6. Return Was Not Confirmed

Your rental ends only when the power bank is returned to a GoZap station and the return is confirmed by the system.

If you inserted the power bank into a station but the app still shows an active rental, contact GoZap Support immediately.

Please provide:

  • your account phone number or email;
  • rental ID, if available;
  • station location;
  • date and time of return;
  • photo or video of the returned power bank or station, if available.

GoZap will review station logs and system records. If GoZap confirms that the power bank was returned but the system did not properly update the rental, GoZap may adjust or refund affected charges.

7. Full Station or Offline Station

If a station is full, offline, damaged, or unable to accept returns, you must find another available GoZap station or contact GoZap Support before leaving the power bank anywhere else.

Leaving the power bank outside a station, with venue staff, at a front desk, with security, or near a station does not end your rental and may not qualify for a refund.

8. Incorrect Charge

If you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact GoZap Support as soon as possible.

Please provide:

  • your account phone number or email;
  • rental ID, if available;
  • date and time of the charge;
  • amount charged;
  • station location;
  • screenshot of the charge;
  • a short explanation of why you believe the charge is incorrect.

GoZap will review the payment record, rental record, station logs, and return status.

9. Non-Return Purchase Charge

If a power bank is not returned within 7 days, GoZap may charge a $30 non-return purchase charge.

The $30 non-return purchase charge may not be refundable if the power bank was not returned within the required return period.

If you believe the charge was applied in error, contact GoZap Support and provide evidence that the power bank was returned before the deadline.

10. Lost or Damaged Power Bank

Refunds may not be available if the power bank is lost, damaged, misused, opened, modified, exposed to water, exposed to unsafe heat, or returned in an unsafe condition.

If the power bank appears damaged, swollen, leaking, smoking, overheating, or unsafe, stop using it immediately and contact GoZap Support.

11. Processing Time

If GoZap approves a refund, the refund will be issued to the original payment method when possible.

Refund timing may depend on GoZap’s payment processor, your bank, your card issuer, and the payment method used.

GoZap does not control the exact time it takes for your bank or card issuer to post the refund to your account.

12. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you have a billing issue, please contact GoZap Support first so we can review and try to resolve the issue.

If you file a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer, GoZap may provide rental records, payment records, return records, station logs, account records, policy acceptance records, and support communications to the payment processor, bank, or card issuer.

GoZap may suspend or restrict your account while a payment dispute is pending.

13. Fraud, Abuse, and Misuse

GoZap may deny refunds, suspend accounts, restrict rentals, or take other action if GoZap reasonably believes there is:

  • fraud;
  • misuse of the service;
  • false refund claims;
  • repeated chargebacks;
  • intentional non-return;
  • tampering with power banks or stations;
  • violation of GoZap’s Terms or policies.
